Patterns

A combination of two passions: our furry friends give us a lot (including much of our yarn!) and sometimes we need to give back – all proceeds from my patterns are donated to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (http://www.aspca.org/).

Powder 8 Socks ($2.00 US) - whether you’re braving the winter weather or curled up with a warm drink après ski, the Powder 8 socks are the perfect knit to keep your feet nice and warm. Inspired by the tracks that two skiers make when their lines cross in pristine powder, the cables travel down the Balbriggan style heel and across the ‘slopes’ to your toes. These socks are worked from the top down and end with wedged toes.

Ace Fingerless Mitts ($2.00 US) - these mittens will help you stay warm and cozy while keeping your fingers free to grip your morning coffee or pet a friendly pup. The unique construction allows the cables wrap all the way around from the back of your hand to the palm, while buttons add additional flair.

Infinite Cabled Hat (free) - a fabulous project for those who are familiar with cabling, and want to make something that looks complex without actually straining the brain too much! Two needle sizes are used to account for the tension change between the brim and the body (where the cables are introduced). The cables put a twist on the conventional roll-brim by ruffling the edges, nicely framing your face. A clever decreasing scheme keeps the cables going all the way to the top.

Cozy Cabled Hat (free) - an ideal first-time cabling project or an easy, quick knit for those already cable savvy. Two needle sizes are used to account for the tension change between the brim and the body (where the cables are introduced). The decreasing scheme for the top is as invisible as it gets. In just a few hours you’ll be ready to face the winter weather and look fabulous doing it!
