Holy error, Batman!

Mistakes are a part of life...that I absolutely despise. My parents tell stories about how when I was a kid, I wouldn't put pen to paper on a puzzle or maze until I had figured out the solution first, for fear of having the wrong answer documented (and people wonder why I'm a neurotic adult).

So it pains me to have to bring you some errata on the Powder 8 Socks. Eagle-eyed knitter Michelle clued me in that the stitch counts in the section for the foot were off by four. I present to you the corrected lines.

The Foot section:

Round 6: K17 (19, 21, 23), P1, mC4F, P1, K18 (22, 26, 30), P1, mC4F, P1, K17 (19, 21, 23).
Round 10: K17 (19, 21, 23), P1, mC4B, P1, K18 (22, 26, 30), P1, mC4B, P1,
K17 (19, 21, 23).

I'm going to correct the pdf and send a copy to those of you who have purchased the pattern within the next week or so. If you don't see one in your inbox soon, please contact me. Sorry for any confusion this may have caused!

Powder 8 Socks

From re-designs to ripping apart to lost socks, these have been a long time coming. I finally posted the Powder 8 Socks pattern to Ravelry.

The spiel:

Whether you’re braving the winter weather or curled up with a warm drink après ski, the Powder 8 socks are the perfect knit to keep your feet nice and warm. Inspired by the tracks that two skiers make when their lines cross in pristine powder, the cables travel down the Balbriggan style heel and across the ‘slopes’ to your toes.

Our furry friends give us a lot (including some of our yarn!) and sometimes we need to give back – all proceeds from this pattern will be donated to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (http://www.aspca.org/).

If you're interested, you can buy now or check out the pattern on Ravelry.

Ace Fingerless Mitts

The Ace Fingerless Mitts pattern is up and running on Ravelry! Thanks again for the photo selection advice. Here's the spiel:

The Ace Fingerless Mitts will help you stay warm and cozy while keeping your fingers free to grip your morning coffee or pet a friendly pup. The unique construction of these mitts allows the cables wrap all the way around from the back of your hand to the palm, while buttons add additional flair.

Our furry friends give us a lot (including much of our yarn!) and sometimes we need to give back – all proceeds from this pattern will be donated to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (http://www.aspca.org/).

Required skills include - knitting and purling through the back of the loop, picking up stitches, and crossing and cabling stitches.

The pattern is $2.00 US, and is available as a PDF download. Knit on!
